99 Western States lost its European licensee in 1968, as competitor Fives Cail absorbed Maison Breguet. Harry Allison replaced Jack Schneider. In addition to his experience in selling, Allison had also been involved in design and manufacturing for the Fletcher and Sharples Companies. He spearheaded a number of improvements in centrifugals for the chemical industry; most notably, the 1969 development of the Quadramatic Link suspended under-driven machine, which is still in production.
