203 Riopaila Castilla Riopaila Castilla SA is a Colombian agro-industrial company with more than 98 years of experience in the national and international market that, through the production and commercialization of sugar, honey, alcohol, energy and palm, contributes to the food and energy security of Colombia. It was born in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, after the merger of Riopaila Industrial SA and Castilla Industrial SA, spin-off companies of Ingenio Riopaila SA and Central Castilla SA, which were created by Dr. Hernando Caicedo in 1928 and 1945, respectively. The agro-industrial operation of Riopaila Castilla SA is projected in varied markets that strengthen its productive activity and its corporate strategy, with three processes: Agricultural, Industry and Consumption and Value-Added, with the administrative support of the functional and support areas. For products, Riopaila Castilla SA serves directly the domestic and export market segments, offering products for domestic consumption and domestic industry, satisfying the specific needs of each customer. Related to the facility in Riopaila (Colombia), Western States developed and sold Riopaila the first continuous centrifuges for “A” sugar with great success.
