118 Upon Mr. Jones' retirement, Charles O’Neile was appointed President. O’Neile knew the company well, having begun his career in 1945 in the parts department and working his way up through the ranks. Production Control Manager Mel Dalton also completed his career in 1991, after 49 years with the Company. The following year saw the culmination of Project Engineer Jack Fischer’s 44 years and Research and Development Director Joe Bange’s 43 year career. Joe had been a protégé of Joseph Hertrich, honing his craft and guiding the Company’s technical efforts for many years. In July, 1990 Roger Fair took on the responsibility for overseeing all sales as the General Sales Manager, taking over the reins from long time Sales Manager Jim Fenske.
