158 A Favorite Villamil Story "One of my favorite anecdotes with Western States happened during the repair season of 1998/99 in Choluteca, Honduras. Western States service engineer Leonard Drew and I were at La Grecia sugar factory commissioning a new drive for the upcoming season when Leonard found himself in need of the latest software update for the unit. We contacted Western States and after a one week lead time they sent us a package with what we were sure was the software. Leonard and I had been held up in a small hotel in a remote part of Honduras for many days when our long awaited currier finally arrived. With the anticipation of a child on Christmas morning we opened the package only to find a series of music CD’s that were meant for the father of an employee. Some poor dad somewhere got our long awaited software for father’s day and my friend Leonard and I were left in Choluteca, listening to jazz and forging a cherished relationship for another week."
